I decided to do a post about my own face and the issues I have with it.
Ever since giving birth to baby number 2, my face has been giving me hell (in my opinion anyway). I started off with bright pink patches on my cheeks and it just escalated. My skin has just become SO incredibly sensitive and just plain crap (to put it bluntly).
My skin WAS oily/combination and I knew perfectly well how to take care of it, what products to use and what I needed to do if I broke out or had blocked pores or something. Now it’s just all over the place. I don’t even recognise my skin type (which is shocking because I’m a trained beauty therapist). All I know is that it’s definitely combination, but I don’t know what combination!
I have an oily nose, dry cheeks, acne (oil situation on dry cheeks!?), my chin’s normal, my forehead is God know’s what. I have little spots all over (yes in addition to the acne spots on my cheeks) and to top it all off my face always hurts. It’s generally really uncomfortable and anything I use seems to irritate me. I don’t have any allergies or anything either so its literally just the way my skin is right now. I’ve been trying and testing so many different products and everything just seems to make my situation worse. I did however stumble upon a face wash a little while back that I thought looked promising and it hasn’t let me down yet.
I’ve recently been using the Garnier Fresh Clarifying Wash to cleanse my skin and it leaves it feeling quite comfortable and clean, it smells really fresh too which is nice. During the day (and before make-up) I’ve been using the Embryolisse moisturiser (helps to soothe the irritated parts of my face). After washing my face at night, to help to treat the dehydrated parts of my face, I massage my skin using Bio Oil (I’ve always loved this!). My skincare literally just consists of these 3 products. I can’t use toner or anything because my face just stings so much afterwards. I love face masks as well but I’m just too scared of my skin flaring up if I use one (any suggestions?). It seems to be going alright for now though, but I just want my skin to back to the way it was!
If any of you ladies can to relate to this post, have had pregnancy related skin issues or even any sensitive skin tips you can share with me then drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you!
Take care & keep smiling!
