I am SO excited about sharing this!
Also, if you have dry/sensitive skin like me, then this post is for YOU.
So if you follow me or have read my previous post about my sensitive skin problems (if you haven’t you can read it here) you will know that I was struggling to find a face mask that kept my skin happy. I’ve always loved a deep cleansing clay mask but they just stopped agreeing with my skin (started making my face sting) and because I was having a lot of trouble finding products that stopped my skin from flaring up, I gave up on masks for a while.
I went shopping the other day and stopped by a Liz Earle counter to have a browse. My skin’s been feeling a bit happier recently so I thought I’d spoil myself with some new skin care products (note: I have used Liz Earle products before so I’m familiar with their stuff) but I wasn’t really after a mask just yet. I had a little chat with the lady at the counter and she was like “have you tried our masks then?” I was like no, so she was like “you’ll thank me for this” and handed me tube to try out on my hand. I loved the feel of it so I decided to give it a go.
Boy am I glad I did!
It’s their Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask. I used it for the first time earlier today and fell in love! Its really creamy and it doesn’t dry on the skin or anything so there’s no discomfort if you have dry skin and hate that taught feeling. It has a really comforting botanical scent to it as well. I kept it on for about 15 minutes and then wiped it off with a warm, damp muslin cloth. I followed by toning and moisturising with a Liz Earle face cream but I’ll leave the details for all that in an updated skincare post (watch this space!). My skin just felt so comfortable after! I don’t feel any tightness or have any flaky skin on random areas of my face, so I can confidently say I’m sold! I wish I’d come across this sooner.
The reason why I love this mask so much is that the goodness comes from West African Shea, Borage Oil, Geranium Essential Oil and a few other things which you can have a little read about here. These are all naturally active ingredients that work wonders on your skin! I would HIGHLY recommend this mask to anyone who has similar skin issues. (It’s suitable for all skin types so anybody can give it a go.)
So there, that was the highlight of my day. I was just really excited about sharing this because it’s great when you find something that actually works and makes you feel like you’re doing something right for yourself!
The best thing about this mask though is that it does what it promises in just 10 minutes. That for me, is enough!
I’ll do another post soon on my updated skin care and how I feel about changing back into a ‘cleanse, tone, moisturise’ routine.
Until next time,
Take care & keep smiling!
