Updated Skin Care Routine

It’s been a few weeks, but I’m finally ready to share my new skincare routine with you. I wanted to wait till I’d started seeing results before I posted anything, so here we are..

A couple of weeks back I did a post on a new Liz Earle face mask that I started using and how pleased I was with the results (to read it click here). At the same time, I began a new skin care regime also using Liz Earle products. If you’ve been following me, then you will know that I have been dealing with quite problematic skin since having my second child 7 months ago, so finding a routine that has literally transformed my skin means everything to me.

Now, before we go any further, I just want to say that I have used Liz Earle products a couple of years ago so I am familiar with their stuff and the reason I chose to go back is because I trust their ingredients and I know that the products deliver because they use only the best naturally active ingredients which means that even the most sensitive skin types can benefit from their products as there are no harsh chemicals involved.

Pictured above are the products I use from their range (morning & evening).

Step 1: The Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I take 1 pump (2 pumps if I’ve got make up to remove) of this amazing cleanser and massage it gently onto my face and really work it into my skin. I leave it on for a couple of minutes whilst I brush my teeth because I feel like as my skin is quite dry, it helps to lock in more moisture. I then take the muslin cloth, dampen it with warm water and gently wipe away the cleanser. I finish the cleansing by rinsing my face with warm water.

Step 2: Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I dampen a cotton wool pad with cold water and squeeze all the water out and then pour some toner onto it, I sweep this all over my face and neck to remove any remaining cleanser residue. It also refreshes the skin, closes the pores and preps the skin for moisturiser.

Step 3: I finish off by gently massaging my face with my Skin Repair Moisturiser. I use the one specially formulated for Dry/Sensitive skin. It includes ingredients such as avocado oil (rich in oleic acid), borage oil, echinacea, hops and the natural source antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E. It is a very rich moisturiser (not greasy at all!) so I feel that a little goes a long way and it is SO hydrating, it keeps my skin feeling comfortable literally ALL day.

So there you have it. The simplest skin care routine (takes less that 10 minutes) that has literally transformed my skin. I’ve noticed that the redness that used to bother me has decreased significantly and also my skin texture is improving. My skin doesn’t feel as dry as it used to either. I’m genuinely so pleased with these products and I highly recommend that any one looking to give their skin some serious loving should try out Liz Earle products. They have something for everyone.
