Basically, I have been planning on doing a ‘Monthly Favourites’ post for the last 2 months.. HOWEVER, life usually gets in the way and I miss the end/beginning of the month and then I’m like “Oh, is this the date?!” #MumLife I guess? Anyways, here is my first ever one. It isn’t about many things, just a few favourites that I’ve found myself using more of over the previous month.
Arabian Oud ‘Kalemat’ Perfume (Unisex) I LOVE this fragrance. If you like oud type of scents, then this is the ONE for you. I’m the type of person that uses whatever my mood fancies all year round regardless of whether it’s suitable for the season or not, but this perfume is SO perfect for Autumn (probably why I’ve been reaching for it a lot more since September). (TOP NOTES Bilberry, Anise. HEART NOTES Rosemary, Honey. BASE NOTES Musk, Sweet Amber, Kashmir Wood. – Just to help you paint a better picture of what this smells like.) It’s a bit pricey at £85.00 a bottle but you get 100ml in the bottle and the fragrance lasts for AGES. It’s worth it.
Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter I bought this a month ago, and I’ve been using it almost everyday. I mix a little with my foundation and it just gives me the prettiest glow (vain much?). But seriously, it’s the most perfect liquid highlighter I have come across. It smells gorgeous too!
MUA Luxe Velvet Matte Lipstick (Shade no.3) I’ve been using this shade quite a bit as well recently. It’s a perfect Autumnal berry tone, and to be honest its not bad at all for a £3.00 lipstick!
CHANEL Coco Code Blush Harmony This blush compact is SO gorgeous (smells like roses too!). It was a part of the Chanel Spring 2017 collection so I don’t think it’s available to buy anymore, but I’ve been using it a lot more recently than I did when I actually bought it! The warm colours and finishes are perfect (in my opinion) for this season.
Dr. PawPaw Original Clear Balm Been using this a lot on my lips (I used to use carmex but I think I love this more!) and on my incredibly dry hands. It works a treat! Love this. Definitely going to be keeping it close by as the weather gets colder.
Bio Oil Everyone knows what Bio Oil is and what it does. I love it, because for me, it actually works! I’ve been using it on my mummy tummy and its helped reduce the appearance of my stretch marks and has evened out the pigmentation from my Linea Nigra (the belly button pregnancy line). As well as that, I’ve been massaging my face (mainly my forehead) with it every night and it’s visibly reduced my frown lines!! It’s definitely a winner for me.
That’s all from me for now. The product links above aren’t affiliates or anything, I just thought I’d be helpful just in case you decided that you wanted to shop my favourites.
I’ll hopefully make this ‘monthly favourites’ post a permanent thing on here.
But for now, take care!
Love, Taslima x
