I have been absent from my blog for a few weeks now and that’s because my laptop of 9 years has very unfortunately left my side (it was old, I know, it’s time had come). I loved my laptop dearly, but it wasn’t repairable *sigh* well, life goes on! We now have a shiny, brand new laptop to continue with through life. Anyways, that was the reason for why I haven’t been blogging, I now have A LOT to catch up on!
So, I wasn’t able to do my ‘January Favourites’ post which was really disappointing as I wanted to make sure I did a ‘Favourites’ post every month for this year. Also, I’m a bit behind on doing a few reviews and some other posts. I also wanted to get my ‘Skincare Sunday’ posts back on track. Hopefully I’ll be on form with everything soon! (Wish me luck!)
My littlest princess also turned a whole 1 year old on the 1st of February. I still can’t believe how fast time goes by!
Aside from all that, I thought I’d just share a few products that I’ve been enjoying over the past couple of months just to make up for being away from my blog for this long.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum I have been wanting to try this serum for a while now and recently got myself a little sample sized 7ml bottle to test out. This serum is highly praised everywhere, so I really wanted to see what the fuss was all about and also I really want to start hunting down great, effective products to start my anti-ageing journey with. I’ve been using it every night for about 6 nights now before my moisturiser and I feel like it’s made my skin feel slightly smoother and a tiny bit more plumpy. But the difference is only just slight. I feel like it’s one of those products that you can definitely reap long term benefits with so watch this space!
L’Oreal Smooth Sugars Clear Scrub I did a review on these scrubs which you can read here. Recently I’ve been breaking out quite a bit which I’m putting down to my diet because I have been eating a lot of rubbish lately, but using this scrub has really helped keep my skin clean and has also helped to clear up blemishes much quicker. It’s also super gentle which I love.
Albus & Flora Lip Balm This lip balm came in my January Mummy Club box (read about it here) and it has literally been a life-saver! It’s such a lightweight, highly moisturising lip balm and because it looks like a lipstick, it’s super easy to apply too! I love that it also has SPF 30.
Bobbi Brown Instant Full Coverage Concealer I barely get a proper night of sleep so this concealer has been making me look less zombie and more human. I love the texture and it’s so easy to blend so it looks like very natural instead of looking cakey which I find a lot of full coverage concealers end up doing.
Kiko Milano Eyeshadow Stick in the colour 03 from the Arctic Holiday collection. I love this. It’s so versatile, easy to blend out, and lasts a long time without smudging. It’s a bit sparkly, but I don’t mind that. I also have brown eyes, so I love any kind of brown eye make-up.
Real Techniques Contour Brush as the name suggest, this is a ‘contour brush’ but I’ve been using it for my highlighter. It does such a beautiful job at seamlessly blending any highlighting powder into the skin and applies just the right amount.
There you have it, just a few little things that have helped keep me going. I’m so glad this whole technical issue has been sorted and I can get back to my blog. I really do have a lot of things planned for this year and it was just unfortunate that I had to put my posts on hold when I felt like I was on quite a roll with my blogging!
Anyways, I’ll leave it at that for now. Hope you have an amazing day wherever you are in the world!
Lots of love,
